2008 China Design Enterpriser Summit Grand Held

China’s creative industry will step to the world in the year when the Olympic Games was hosted in Beijing. From Made-in-China to Created-in-China, Chinese designers are turning the dream over centuries into reality. SMART PAPERS & SMART DESIGNERS, together with 2008 China Design Enterpriser Summit were successfully held at Beijing State Guest Hotel on May 15, 2008. The summit was sponsored by the famous U.S. paper manufacture, SMART PAPERS, which has a history of over 100 years. Organizers of the summit were Design College of Central Acadamy of Fine Arts, Visionunion Web, and Youthvision magazine. It was the first summit hold for China’s design enterprisers and managers.

The forum was forwarded by Cai Yuan from sponsor SMART PAPERS, Wang Ziyuan from Central Acadamy of Fine Arts, Liao Xiang from Visionunion, Wang Lin from magazine <Vision>. Participants discussed on three topics, The Responsibilities Of China’s Design Enterprises, The Way Of China’s Design Enterprises, and The International Challenge To China’s Design Enterprises. 15 China’s well-known design enterprisers gathered in the summit, including famous Xiao Yong, Wang Ke, Zou You, Xu Zhiming, Guan Xiaohang, Jia Wei, Jiang Lin, Xie Yong, Wei Lai, Liu Ke, Guo Chunning, Xie Jianjun, Qiu Fengshun, Tang Tingbin and Xiao Juntao. These enterprisers came from China’s various contemporary design fields including graphic design, industrial design, architectural design, clothes design. Their enthusiastic speeches much inspired the present audience including design enterprisers and designers. Their opinions represent leading ideology among China’s contemporaty design industry. From their experience, we glimpse the growing and maturing of China’s design enterprises, which aim to play a role in the world and achieve Created-in-China from Made-in-China before. Shen Zhijun, lawyer and famous scholar in intellectual property right field, was invited as a guest of honor to give the speech titled The Way How China’s Design Enterprise Raises Money And Goes To The Stock Market. He had helped Morning Design, China’s well-known design enterprise, to reform and re-oriente its marketing method. The forum was the first time that China’s design enterprisers successfully concentrated together.
